Enjoy the comforts of a chartered bus ride to AGCO’s manufacturing facility in Jackson, MN. Recently honored with many awards for their innovation and technology, AGCO will host us in their Intivity Center, where they will share their use of cutting-edge technology such as Glass assisted-reality wearable devices. Next, Thurston Mfg. will host us at their Spencer, IA facility, where we’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch grilled for us on Thurston’s ChuckWagon Mobile Grilling System. We will end our day with a guided bus tour of POET’s Emmetsburg, IA bio-refining facilities, including both their ethanol plant and new cellulosic plant.

SESSION I: Sam Kreamer JD, CPA, Kreamer Law Firm “Succession Planning”
Sam Kreamer of the Kreamer Law Firm will be providing a session on Succession Planning. As part of Sam’s presentation, he will be discussing preparing your business for transition, the legal process of transfer of ownership, how to maximize the sale of your business, how to avoid the common mistakes of transition planning, and when to begin planning for the succession process.
Sam Kreamer practices primarily in estate planning (including wills and trusts), probate law, succession planning and business law. In addition to being a lawyer, he is also a certified public accountant. Sam is licensed to practice law in all courts within Iowa, as well as the following Federal Courts: Northern and Southern District of Iowa, Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Tax Court.
SESSION II: Angie Setzer – “Meeting Marketing Challenges”
Angie Setzer has been in the grain industry for over 13 years. After beginning her career as a cash grain broker she transitioned into a position as Vice President of Grain for Citizens Elevator in Charlotte, MI. At Citizens she manages 5 elevator locations as well as a state of the art on-farm program bringing the company’s overall yearly handling to over 12 mbu.
In addition to her “Cash is King” column with Pro Farmer, she has been seen on AgDay, U.S. Farm Report, Market to Market and the Weather Channel, as well as regular appearances on Market Rally Radio, Benzinga’s Pre-Market Prep show, The Bubba Show with Todd Horwitz and Agritalk. SESSION III: Randy Koski, CPA, Koski Professional Group, PC – “Tax Policy Update”
Randy Koski of the Koski Professional Group will be presenting a session on Federal and State Tax changes for 2018 and how they will impact your business. As part of his discussion, Randy will detail the changes to the Federal Tax Law including the changes in Section 1031 – Like Kind Exchange, Section 179 deduction, income tax cuts, charitable giving, and several other issues.
Randy Koski works with clients in the businesses of agriculture, health care and manufacturing. In addition to the traditional accounting, auditing, tax and reimbursement work of the firm, Randy devotes substantial time to estate, gift, and retirement planning; business succession planning; acquisitions and mergers, particularly by consolidated groups; and major capital transactions.

Keynote speaker Gene Marks helps small business owners, executives and managers understand the political, economic and technological trends that will affect their companies so they can make profitable decisions.
