Our Team

Mark Hennessey, joined INEDA as the President/CEO in March of 2019. Mark has worked in multiple industries where information technology was his core focus. Outside of work, he competes on the USA Powerlifting team and enjoys weekend trips with his wife, riding his Harley and taking in the back roads of rural America.

Tom has been with INEDA for more than 30 years and is the official Expo Director. Tom stays busy managing both the Nebraska Ag Expo and the Iowa Ag Expo. In his free time, Tom enjoys watching college and NFL football, fruit gardening, and taking trips with his wife and children.

For eleven years, Cindy has managed marketing and communication efforts for INEDA and Ag Expos through print, digital, and social media. Outside of work, Cindy can be found traveling, hunting for cool vintage finds, gardening, biking, and hanging out with her dog, Jack.

Phil has been an active leader and advocate for over two decades. A native Nebraskan, he grew up on his family’s farm and returned to farm after college. He has also been a banking professional, elected official, advisor to U.S. Senator, and team leader. Phil enjoys spending time with his wife, four children, and their dog, cheering on the Huskers, coaching his kids’ sports teams, golfing, and boating.

Laurie joined INEDA in 2023. She assists the Expo director with both Ag Expos, board meeting preparation, and event planning. Outside of work, Laurie enjoys bicycling, outdoor concerts, traveling, and spoiling her energetic mini-Aussie pup.

Cara is the first friendly face you see when you walk in INEDA’s doors. She oversees membership, business forms and supplies, and board of director elections. Outside of work, Cara enjoys spending time with her husband, four children, their two dogs, cheering on her kids at their sport events, walking, crafting and sewing.

Jamie brings a wealth of dealership experience with him to share at INEDA. He was raised in a fourth-generation family-owned John Deere dealership—J.B. Mertz & Son. Outside of work, Jamie enjoys golfing, spending time with his wife and daughter, playing board games, and watching movies.

Gwen joined the INEDA team in 2019 where she stays busy overseeing all of INEDA’s financials. In her free time, Gwen enjoys sewing, reading, taking photographs, and spending time with her husband and children.

Andy joined INEDA in May 2025 as the newest member of the team. Andy brings a wealth of experience in tradeshows, agriculture, and operations, making him a valuable addition to the organization and he is set to take over Tom’s role upon his retirement, and his expertise positions him well for a smooth transition. In his free time, Andy enjoys his family, helping out on the farm, following Iowa State sports, and keeping up with their Australian shepherd.
