Legislative Advocacy
INEDA works tirelessly to protect dealers’ interests at both the state and federal levels. This past year, we successfully defeated proposed Nebraska legislation that would have imposed $120 million in new taxes on parts and machinery sales. Our team regularly collaborates with state legislators, governors, and members of Congress, including participation in the Washington D.C. Fly-In and roundtable discussions. We also host Legislative Meeting and Golf Outings, and District Meetings across Iowa and Nebraska, giving members the opportunity to discuss current legislative and industry issues in a collaborative setting.

Workforce Development
Developing the next generation of dealership talent is one of our top priorities. Through Career Exploration Events at the Iowa Ag Expo and Nebraska Ag Expo, more than 1,000 students learned about career paths in the equipment industry. With strong support from our dealer members and local trade schools, these events continue to expand each year. INEDA also awarded $100,000 in scholarships to students through the Andrew Goodman Scholarship program, helping young leaders prepare for future careers. Additionally, our Innovation Hubs at the Expos highlight emerging technologies that not only advance agriculture but also inspire students to join the industry.

Education & Training
We provide dealers with practical learning opportunities designed to strengthen their businesses. Innovation After Hours events give members a firsthand look at emerging technologies, while regional workshops address critical topics such as workforce development trends, the economic outlook, and tariffs. INEDA also offers monthly enewsletter informing you of webinars and seminars on timely issues. And we provide free, on-site forklift certification for dealership employees. These opportunities equip dealers with the tools and expertise they need to remain competitive in a changing industry.

Regulatory Compliance
INEDA keeps members informed and prepared for the regulations that impact their dealerships most. From labor laws and trucking requirements to OSHA, EPA, and FTC rules, we provide timely updates and practical guidance to help dealers stay compliant. Through workshops, meetings, and easy-to-use resources, we simplify complex requirements and give dealers the tools they need to adapt with confidence—allowing them to stay focused on running their business while we help them navigate regulatory change.
